sessions. * American curriculum covering all materials in depth
leading to high school diploma in completion of grade 12 plus a
wide variety of elective courses like Art Appreciation, Music, Economics,
Teaching Assistant, College Preparation, Photography and extra curricular

forms for our curriculum, teachers, and students. *Efficient preparation
provided for students for SAT and TOEFL exams during college preparation

EDUCATIONAL
PROGRAM
Based
on the American curriculum where we have core subjects such as Math,
Science, Social Studies, Language Arts in addition to Foreign Language,
Music, Arts, Physical Education, Computer Studies and newly announced
courses like Economics, Photography, History of Qatar, Early childhood
care, and teaching assistant focusing on both elementary and secondary
school. We do take into consideration the textbooks and supportive
materials from American publishers. We do believe that the core
curriculum should be the best. Extra curricular activities in athletics
and clubs. Social sports and scouts in the school provides opportunities
for growth and leadership.

CURRENT
DATA MIS continues to grow each year at a rapid pace. We
now have 300 students in our elementary department (EC-1 to Grade
5) and 200 students in out middle and high school (Grade 6 to 12)
department.

ACADEMIC
YEAR
The
academic year begins in September and ends in June. The workdays
are Sunday through Thursday. The normal school timings are from
7:15 AM to 1:45 PM (Qatar Standard Time). The first week of September
is devoted to the study of the programs, preparation of term plans,
participation in pre-term seminars and workshops, and all the necessary
procedures before the students' arrivals. Each student and teacher
is important in creating our community.

ADMINISTRATION:
MIS has a faculty and administration dedicated to the highest standards
of achieving academic excellence and is committed to diversity.
The administration is a clearly defined workable organizational
structure whereby the goals and objectives are carried out. It is
responsible to see that the school policies are applied in and out
of the classrooms, and the real task of the administration is to
make a coherent, effective, working unit out of a large number of
teachers and students as well as following up on each class progress
and studies for all school aspects as closely as possible.COORDINATORS:
The coordinators are responsible for working extremely close with
teachers in developing the teacher program and to distribute instructions
as to the content of syllabus and help motivate teachers to include
visual aids, computer aids and other technical resources in their
lesson plans. Also responsible for running monthly faculty and department
meetings where minutes are noted in order to keep current on all
school achievements.TEACHERS: Teachers are the agents who carry
out supervision for students to complete their studies properly
for purposes of monitoring students' physical and emotional welfare.
Teachers are using school facilities to enhance and implement a
learning structural program through active learning process. Also
they motivate students to progress their full potential. Teachers
remain in close communication with students and parents throughout
the academic year. They are responsible for the preparation of comprehension
tests, quizzes, and summative assessments as well as recording and
updating lesson plans and grading, basedon a multilevel teaching
process that is used in the school. They design lesson plans from
curriculum and facilitate learning for all students in mastery of
course material and encourage creative thinking and socialization
of students to participate in extra curricular activities.
