HOME ED PROGRAM PLAN
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Age Requirement: Students must be 12 years and older; Middle and High School Students are eligible only.
- Citizenship: Must be an American citizen.
- Identification: Valid QID required.
- Previous Education: Submission of a final report card from the last attended school with the necessary attestations.
- Enrollment Gap: A gap of one year without school enrollment is necessary; otherwise we encourage students to apply for in-person schooling.
- Learning Expectations: Students must demonstrate the ability for independent learning and compliance with school requirements. Students must meet the required curriculum standards expected of all students.
TESTING REQUIREMENTS
- Admission Test: All applicants must take an admission test.
- MAP Screening Test: Applicants must complete MAP tests in reading, math, and language usage.
- High School Credits: Evaluation of credits for high school students to ensure grade-level eligibility.
- Other international assessments maybe required based on the grade level and courses of the student (i.e. Advanced Placement, SATs) and require an additional fee.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Fee Structure:
- Application/Test fee and one-time registration payment (separate from tuition).
- Tuition fee: 30% of the actual tuition fee for the applicable grade level (includes books and some resources).
- Submission: Complete application along with required documents and fees.
LEARNING RESOURCES
- Access to Google Classroom: Students will receive login credentials for schoolwork.
- Textbooks and Online Resources: Provided to all students.
- Live Lessons: Attendance options for live or recorded lessons, based on teacher availability.
TEACHER INTERACTION
- Zoom/Google Meet Sessions: Half an hour, twice a week, scheduled with teachers.
- In-Person Requirements: Students must attend school for tests and semester exams.
PROJECT SUBMISSION
- Submission Guidelines: Projects must be submitted in person unless online submission is available.
PROGRESS MONITORING
- Quarterly Report Cards: Parents will receive updates on student progress.
- Parent-Teacher Conferences: Mandatory attendance for parents.
GRADING SYSTEM
- Evaluation Standards: The grading system will align with regular students attending school.
FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
- Timely Payment: Parents must pay fees on time.
- Policy for Non-Compliance: Students not meeting grade requirements may be recommended to repeat the grade.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
- Field Trips and Activities: Students may be invited to participate in field trips and interschool events with additional fees to support the cost of the trips.
SPECIAL NEEDS ACCOMMODATION
- Limitations on Support: Students with significant learning difficulties may not be accommodated, depending on needs.
COMMUNICATION
- Information Sessions: Schedule sessions for prospective students and parents to clarify the process and answer questions.
- Ongoing Support: Provide contact information for teaching and administrative staff for any inquiries relating to the student’s online learning.

Terms and Conditions / Mode of Payment
- 50% of the annual tuition fees to be paid in either cash or with a present dated cheque
- Cheque / Cash / Card payment are accepted.
- Please make cheques payable to: Middle East International School
- The tuition fee is NON-REFUNDABLE once the current academic term begins
- A service fee of Qrs. 50/- per day will be charged for any late school fees, after the given deadline.
- Families are responsible for additional fees related to co-curricular and extra-curricular programs as appropriate (i.e. PSAT testing, lab fees, field trips, AP materials)
